Steve Wanta Bio:
Steve Wanta is the cofounder and CEO of JUST – a social venture investing in low-income female entrepreneurs to create more resilient communities, starting in Texas. This work is a culmination of more than a decade of experience serving and investing in entrepreneurs around the world and in Austin. First, Steve learned the essence of bottom-up community development as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala. That experience afforded him the opportunity to become the first Team Member of Whole Foods Market’s foundation, Whole Planet. During 10 years with the foundation, Steve oversaw a grant portfolio of over $70M and conducted due diligence on hundreds of microfinance institutions in more than 70 countries
