Week 1. April 1, 2021 | 12 PM to 1: 30 PMThe Art of Finding Grant Opportunities

It is one of the biggest ‘grant writing secrets’: your chances of obtaining funding increase significantly when you find the right funding opportunity. Don’t spin your wheels; make sure you’re applying to funders that align with your nonprofit organization. This online class will clearly lay out the steps and strategies for effective grant prospecting. This can be taken as a stand-alone class or part of the April 2021 series.

Week 2. April 8, 2021 | 12 PM to 1: 30 PM – Get that Grant I: Grant Writing Basics for Nonprofits

So, you want to be a grant writer. Or maybe you’ve recently started writing grant applications for a nonprofit organization. This online class will describe the items funders are looking for and will provide a clear framework for crafting winning proposals. The focus is on writing grant applications for nonprofit organizations; join us if your level is anywhere from beginner up to intermediate. This can be taken as a stand-alone class or part of the April series.

Week 3. April 15, 2021 | 12 PM to 1: 30 PM – Get that Grant II: Next-level Grant Writing

This is a class about strategy! During this session, Susannah Erler will share tips, secrets and resources she has developed in her decades as a successful grant writer. Learn how to demonstrate a strong alignment between a funder’s priorities and your nonprofit organization’s mission, programs and goals. Get that Grant II help will take your applications to the next level. This can be taken as a stand-alone class or part of the April series.

Week 4. April 22 , 2021 | 12 PM to 1: 30 PM – Get that Grant III: Think Like a Project Manager

Developing grant proposals frequently take a team. It can take months to put together an application for Federal and other large grant opportunities. As a grant writer, you are often in the position of being the one to lead the way. Prepare for those situations by looking at proposal development through a project management lens. This class will offer tools and insights into how project managers plan, organize and direct the completion of a large project (such as a Federal application). This class will also share tips specific to submitting strong Federal applications. This can be taken as a stand-alone class or part of the series.

Week 5. April 29, 2021 | 12 PM to 1: 30 PM – Grant Writing: Tying it All Together

This April the Center for Nonprofit Studies has presented a series of grant writing classes. This final April class will tie it all together by covering the high points of all the presentations. Sign up to learn the top tips in grant writing for nonprofits, to hear a review of what was covered or to ask follow up questions about what you learned earlier this month. This online opportunity will be useful to grant writers either as a stand-alone class or as part of the April series.
