Effective Board and Meeting Minutes

Combining a review of the literature on the taking and the importance of minutes at Board and other meetings, and his 40+ years of practical experience, Barry Silverberg will lead a presentation and discussion on how to effectively and efficiently take and use minutes for the advancement of the organization’s mission. While viewed by many as a thankless task, the proper recording of the organization’s discussions and decisions are an essential component of a Board or committee’s fulfillment of their fiduciary responsibilities. Failure to maintain proper records is a matter that can wreak havoc for the organization and its board members – if an organization is ever sued.
